Past Speaking Experiences Surprisingly enough I had to take an identical course my last semester of high school. When it comes to public speaking, I do not enjoy it like the majority of young people would agree. Despite the fact of dissatisfaction, I power through it because it’s nothing that will leave me stranded in fear. One of my greatest strengths is that I am audacious and don’t get scared to take the risk. Another strength I have is that before I give a speech I am well educated on the subject and have a good sense of topic knowledge. Although I have quite a loud voice part of my nervousness tends to dampen the sound and causes me to speak more quickly than I would like. A weakness that I struggle quite often with is staying on topic, I have so much information bundled up in my head that when I start speaking I tend to jump from one topic to another without completing my thought on the
