I will be able to offer a range of diverse opportunities for higher learning in education, for a much-needed population. I will continue to be a voice to help make changes in education. I will encourage teamwork, partnership with families, schools and communities. I embrace diversity, there are various form of diversity. Diversity is a large portion of today’s society. As an educator, I will be always be a voice to make a difference and take the right stand for diversity. I will maintain my license by attending workshop or enroll in some continuing education classes to meet the requirements needed for renewal. I will stay current with educational changes and events. I plan to continue to leader in different communities as well as assisting to educate others by sharing what I have learned.
I will encourage others to have faith and believe in themselves to become a better leader in the community by obtaining more education. I will become more knowledgeable and grow intellectually in the subject matter that I enjoy. I plan to encourage families of becoming more involved with their child (ren)’s education. Some of my strengths are, I am open-minded to learning new strategies and ways to improve different situations and a problem solver. I can accomplish goals as a team or individually. I embrace diversity and embrace teamwork with a passion.
I am able to employ special educational strategies and techniques during instructional time to improve the development of sensory/perceptual-motor skills, language, cognition, and memory.
I am able to introduce new learning methods to ensure total comprehension for all children. I am able to create new strategies for young children learning.
Some of my accomplishments are the following: In May of 2018 I will receive a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in Early Childhood Education, from Shaw University, in Raleigh, NC. I received my Birth to Kindergarten NC State License, in November of 2017. In May of 2015 I received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, from Shaw University, Raleigh, NC. In 1992 I received an Associate of Applied Science Early Childhood Education, from Johnston Community College, in Smithfield, NC.
Some of my weaknesses are I am not as knowledgeable as I would like to be with teaching online classes as an instructor and I like to become fluent in Spanish. Therefore, I will become more knowledgeable about technology for the 21st Century as an online instructor. I will enroll in classes or go to workshops to gain more knowledge about teaching online classes. I will continue to study Spanish to assist me in my
career.
I have a passion for teaching and I plan to become an instructor at a college or a university. As an instructor, I would impart my knowledge and share my gifts with other students, just as my instructors have imparted and shared their knowledge with me. I would share with others the importance of relationship building between parents and educational professionals, as well as relationship building between educators and community leaders. By obtaining a Master's Degree it has increased my career opportunities. The intellectual and professional development in program has deepened my knowledge and has introduced me to new concepts and methodology that has improved my personal development skills.
