My Goals In College

I was always told "don't plan too far ahead, because something will always come in your way," and I never listened. At a young age I began creating scenarios for my future and attending University of Florida has always been a part of my goals. If I were to be granted admission I would make sure I got the full college experience by working hard to be at the top of my class, joining a club that revolves around my hobbies, and of course, making myself proud. When I begin my journey I will make sure I keep my goals front and center. I know that in order to be one of the best students in my class I will have to be well rounded and not solely rely on my strengths in certain subjects. I have always struggled in history, with that being said, I know that I will take advantage of the resources University of Florida will offer such as the libraries and tutoring options. If I attend this university I will definitely make friends with the Starbucks employees and the librarians because of my constant effort to be on top. My favorite pastime is collecting t-shirts from vacations, community service activities, and various organizations. I would love for my collection to grow even more throughout my college life. While spending time at the university I would like to start a club that creates charity themed designs to print on shirts, each month, and sell them
to raise money for that specific organization. I can't imagine a better opportunity to let my creativity take over while helping people around the world. Making others proud is challenging but the most difficult goal is making oneself proud.
Most students have denied praise from others because of the small voice in the back of their mind telling them that they could have done better but my ultimate goal that I will complete while at University of Florida is to know that I gave all I could and got the desired results. I will have to mentally prepare myself for the work and effort I will have to put forth in order to succeed. This sense of accomplishment is not only from academics but can also emerge from giving myself better health or breaking out of my shell
socially. Overall, I plan to reach my goals and then create even more for myself. All of my specific goals are set in place to make sure I evolve into a well rounded student in my academics, my service, and my personal accomplishments. It's too bad I do not know what obstacles will come in my way because I'm sure I could create a map to get through them and print it on a shirt.
