Florida International University Essay
The college that I decided to research is called Florida International University or FIU for short. I feel like this college is appropriate for me because many of the amenities available fit my liking. The school has a very large campus and plenty of students to make new friends with, and is located in the heart of Florida. Florida’s weather is similar to Arizona’s, with the exception of humidity, making it feel just like home. There are many extracurricular activities at this college such as sororities and fraternities, a radio station, student council, and much more to keep me busy outside of my studies. This college also has a minimum GPA of 3.4 or greater, allowing me to be surrounded by students who value their education just as much as I do. I think FIU would be a great college for me to consider applying to because it has much of what I look for including size, location, academic and extracurricular programs.
I like being surrounded by lots of people. With its 200 acre campus and over 55,000 students, FIU definitely exceeds my expectations! Being surrounded by others gives me more competition and more ways to meet new people. I want my college experience to be memorable and fun with all the friends and new people that I’ve met throughout the years. There are over 30 sororities and

The move Amistad and the story “Interesting Narrative of the life of Olaudah Equiano” have many similarities. The three similarities between the story and Amistad are the ways that the slaves were treated, the conditions of the ships, and the reactions of the slaves. I’d like to attend the University of Florida, Syracuse, or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For UF, graduation from a regionally accredited or state-approved secondary school or the equivalent is required. For Syracuse, standardized test scores (SAT or ACT with writing section) are required if you are a domestic student or an international student studying in the U.S. or studying overseas in an American or international school. Syracuse University does not require or consider the SAT subject tests. For North Carolina, the University seeks an entering class whose collective strengths will foster excellence within the University community; enhance the education of everyone within it; provide for the leadership of the educational, governmental, scientific, business, humanistic, artistic, and professional institution of the state, nation, and world; and enrich the lives of all the people of North Carolina.…

Students need to get and 573 on reading, 602 in math, and a 565 on writing to get a 1740 on the SAT.Even with a 3.6 GPA and a 1740 on the SAT the chances of you getting into IU is still only 71%.
