Management nowadays can be seen as one of the most important factors to determine the success of one’s organisation or any business activities. Donnelly et al, (1987) emphasized that there are two important reasons on why we should study about management. The first reason is modern society today depends on specialised institutions and organisations to provide goods and services that we desire daily. These organisations are guided and directed by decisions of one or more individuals called “managers”. The managers have the authority and the responsibility to allocate society’s resources to the various and often competing ends. Apart from that, the manager is the person in charge to build safe or unsafe products, services, protection, healthcare and knowledge. There is no one in the whole wide world that is neither a manager nor affected by the decisions of a manager. The second reason emphasized by Donnelly et al, (1987) is he finds individuals who are not trained as managers often find themselves in managerial positions. There are many other reasons on why we need to study and understand about management. Basically management will help to increase future job opportunities by developing important technical, human and conceptual skills. The most important thing, by learning about management, it will help other people to understand and learn how to work well with their boss or superior to achieve the main objectives and targets. In organization perspective, a good management will reflects on the outcome of the productivity of the company. Thus, it is one of the most important elements in all organisation, big and small, government or private sectors and also non-profit organisations. Management can be divided into three difference levels of management. However, the main functions and goals are still similar which is to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. The first level is First…

Management is the process of reaching organizational goals by working with people and other resources. Or knowing what you want people to do, and then getting them to do it the best way. Managers must concentrate on reaching organizational goals, and they should use their resources to accomplish those goals. For many years the management process has been divided into principles, sometimes called functions. Some sources will state that there are five principles and others will say there are four. Here we will use four: planning, organizing, influencing, and controlling. Some people use decision making as a fifth principle, but we will use decision making as part of the planning process. Also, some use leading instead of influencing, but we like the term influencing better.…

Management can be defined as the effective and efficient coordination of resources in order to achieve desired objectives. It is the process of planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and controlling resources such as human beings, material, time and money to accomplish organizational mission. All organizations have objectives that are the desired targets that the manager hopes to achieve. The primary purpose of management is to convert resources into results. A resource by itself is nothing, it remains sterile until it is managed to provide the results. A result is the consequence of purposeful activity, which is management. A manager must therefore, plan, organize, direct and coordinate activities to convert the sterile and inert resources into product resources (the desired objectives). Management is therefore, the action of getting things done through people. It means optimizing the use of human and material resources for the attainment of desired objectives.…

Management can have the most remarkable effects on organization; that is why management has become an essential part of organization. According to Griffin (2001) Management may be defined as a set of activities (including planning, and decision making, organizing, leading and controlling) with the aim of achieving organizational goals in an efficient and effective manner. Management can also be defined as the process of designing and maintaining an environment in which individuals, working together in groups, efficiently accomplish selected aims (Koontz and Weihrich 1990).…
