MY DREAM TO BECOME A PASTRY CHEF
What do you think about when you hear the words pastry chef? Do you think of chocolate desserts or ice cream? Some may think well how do I become one or where do I begin to learn how to become a pastry chef. During this essay you will many things about the world of a pastry chef. Now I’m not going to tell you what’s in here but, just know it’s very good stuff. Let’s begin shall we? Many people do not know what a pastry chef does or who they are so I will explain this now.’’ A pastry chef is someone who is schooled and skilled at the making of pastries, desserts, breads and other baked goods. Some pastry are cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies, tortes and ice cream.’’ They do not just make desserts, but also order ingredients, keep inventory, deal with wholesalers, develop new recipes and provide input on menu. Some responsibilities of a pastry chef are creating, testing and evaluating new pastry and dessert recipes. Another one is buying fresh fruits and berries and ordering supplies. What high school courses are need to become a pastry chef..? Language Arts is one because as a pastry chef, you must be able to read and analyze written content so that you can make the recipes, and be able to write original recipes .Math makes it easier knowing how to calculate and measure ingredients helps you get recipes and quantities right for recipes. Last one is Science pastry chefs should also understand the chemistry. Meaning how ingredients react when blended together at different temperature conditions. Becoming a pastry chef takes a lot of work here are some key skills to have. Creativity is one because some customers are more visually when they look at food. Taste Buds you have to able to taste and judge if your food is to its finest. You have to be able to manage your time so that you won’t overcook or under cook anything.
