Questions Depicted In Shaving By Khan Smith

After reading the short story Shaving by Khan Smith one is forced to ponder the various questions posed by the narrator. It is obvious that the main question he opens with about shaving is linked to the education that he receives in his new home. He evidently decided to apply the education he has received to his home setting. In doing so he is left with more questions than answers. He begins to see everything from a different perspective and in the end he realizes that people can’t be categorized and sorted the way that his lecturer had once philosophized, he recognizes that like his class mate had pointed out, people are independent and make decision not based on the categories that they are supposedly placed into but rather that convenience
