Racial stereotypes have been used all around the world. They are mostly used to make a statement against someone and their ethnicity/race. These stereotypes have caused alot of problems in the United States. Racial stereotypes shouldn't be used because it may hurt a persons feelings, it makes you look immature, and it just isn't right.
Through a personal experience, I have seen people try to commit suicide or are very insecure of themselves because people used racial stereotypes against them. To me, that's just wrong, trying to get the pleasure of making someone feel bad just so that you feel good is just dumb. Everyone is created in the image of GOD, which makes everyone one equal.
At times, you can be immature and have fun, but saying racial stereotypes takes immaturity to another level. Stereotypes that are used alot are that "All Asians are smart" and "Black people can't swim." I heard these alot when I was younger and I still hear them today. One time, I was in class and there was a girl who wasn't here for makeup day corrections. When she asked her partner for the answers, her partner said for her to ask one of the Asians in the class. She said specifically, "go ask one of them Asians over there, their all smart." I'm not trying to say that they were dumb or anything, but her partner could've said it in a nicer way like "I didn't get the correct answer either, you should go ask them" or "go ask the teacher." That would've made the situation much easier to handle.
Treating others the way you want to be treated is a big thing and something that we as people need to do. Some people now days don't think before they act or say anything. They normally do things to look cool or I makes them sound like they're the top notch people. Well, there is nothing good about teasing people and using racial stereotypes. Try putting yourself in that persons shoes. You wouldn't like it would you? So just to be safe, think before you say certain things
