1.1Origin of the report:
The term paper on “Quality Analysis of Financial Statement ” has been prepared for Mr Tanvir Ahmed Khan (Course instructor of Intermediate Accounting, ACT-330) as a partial requirement of the course . Real life does not go all the time like the theories and practical world is very critical and diverse. To understand the theoretical aspects of a subject one must understand the practical situation, problems, policies and implications of the theories. So in order to gain practical experience our group was asked by the respected Course instructor to prepare term paper on quality analysis of financial statement . This report emphasizes on preparing a comprehensive study on Accounting practices in Bangladesh and compare between two leading banks of Bangladesh- jamuna Bank Limited and Mutual Trust Bank regarding the quality implementation issue.
1.2 Sources of information:
To prepare this report our group needed much information. The information needed to prepare this term paper was collected from both primary and secondary information sources.
Primary sources:
Most important data and information of this report was collected from the annual report of the respective banks. The primary source also includes the interviews of Manager, and other employees . The Manager, and other employees responded to the questions asked by our group during the visit to their company. We discussed with them and they answered various questions about the their accounting standard, Bangladesh Bank regulations.
Secondary sources:
Different Websites of the internet has provided important information about importance about quality analysis, it’s importance. Another important source of information was the books related to this field. Some supporting papers brochures, different manuals etc were also very helpful.
