a) Who are the stakeholders in the situation?
b) Identify the problems with Aphrodite’s actions and discuss the ethical considerations of her actions.
The first problem is that Aphrodite takes long lunch hours while Venus sacrifices her lunch hours to accommodate regular customers. The second problem is that Aphrodite makes larger withdrawals than Venus does. The ethical considerations of her actions are that first, she must also do her part in maximizing the profit of their business. Because if Venus will only do all the job, it may lead to Aphrodite being all alone in running the business. Second, Aphrodite does not have the right to make large withdrawals. It is not fair for Venus’ part because Venus is doing twice the job that Aphrodite is showing, and in the end, Aphrodite would get all the rewards and profits.
Aphrodite is wrong in taking long lunch hours and making large withdrawals. If you are running a partnership business, each one of you must contribute one’s skills, knowledge and efforts in running the business to have a successful outcome.
c) How might the partnership agreement be revised to accommodate the differences in Aphrodite’s and Venus’ s work and withdrawal habits?
The partnership agreement might be revised based on each of the partner’s capital. If Venus puts in a lot of effort in running the business, she should have the right of having the 60 percent of profit. Because she always makes a point in maximizing the profits and accommodating the customers. While Aphrodite gets the 40 percent of the profit, because she needs to improve her performance in running the business, she also needs to be aware of the large withdrawals she is making and the long lunch hours she’s
