"Salvation" is the story of a child named Langston misunderstanding that Jesus is not a physical person. The Bible is complicated and difficult to preach. Preachers spend years to get a perfect understanding of the scripter. It would be understandable for a 12-year-old to not understand. In most churches people expect you to get saved. This can be demonstrated the aunt in paragraph nine and ten as she started to sob. Instead of getting upset the aunt should have explained why he should be saved and who or what is Jesus. Salvation shows the importance of explaining thing to your children.

Then, the child can decide if they want to be saved. If you push them into being saved they will continue to misunderstand the Bible. This leads to them resenting the word of god in the future. I can attest to that as when I was the same age as Luther in the story. I was pressured to get saved and baptized. I was not ready to understand what it meant to accept Jesus as your savior. Four years later, the doctors discover I have muscular dystrophy. At that age when you have constant pain you blame God for making you this way. I talk to preacher he explained that god puts obstacles in your way to test your heart and mind to see if your faith is real. I then understood this part of the Bible. Even though I accepted Jesus as my savoir I still have questions. This why the older generation is wiser as you learn the Bible has you go through life.
"Salvation" shows how people can easily misunderstand what salvation means. people can relate with Langston because children around his age have been in his situation at least once. It might have not even happened in church, but at some time in your life you have been pushed to meet an expectation. In Langston case being saved like the other children. In life before you make decision make sure you understand everything, don’t just jump on bandwagon because its expected of
