about discrimination, prejudice, and poverty. I also read a lot of Shakespeare’s plays, along with a lot of book serious like Harry Potter or the Twilight Saga. Although I am a great and avid reader I did/do have some obstacles. One of the biggest challenges I had was not having the resources or income to get the books. Being brought up in a large family you tend to get forgotten sometimes so trying to go to the library or bookstore was almost impossible. And being as though I didn’t have a job or car at the time I couldn’t just go out and get the books myself. So I would ask my close friends and even my teachers to let me borrow some of their books. And if I had enough time at school I would go to the school library and check some out if they peaked my interest.
“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.” Recently in my more adult years I have yet to find a book that really grabs my attention. And because of that I’ve become kind of let down and almost gave up in finding the perfect novel. I feel like the perfect book for me is one where it’s almost like I can escape my everyday life and live as another individual or other people. And I can also find joy in reading about books with adventure and freedom.
