Background Information Samuel Seium is a single 29 year old African-American male that currently lives in Springfield, Virginia. The client is the youngest child of two and has reported no known medical history. He is currently in graduate school at George Mason University for the
Counseling and Development Program. He resigned from his full-time job working as a counselor for people with intellectual disabilities at Fairfax County in order to focus on graduate school. He now works as a part-time counselor for the severely mentally ill with Fairfax County. The client reported that he does not believe that the school’s work load is difficult and that he makes the appropriate time to finish his readings and assignments. He picks his work schedule around his school assignments, stating that school comes first before his job. Due to him having flexibility in his work schedule it does not present any time conflicts with school. However, the client reported that work comes before his social life because he needs money in order to pay for his expenses.
