Red Head Monologue
Even if I don’t feature the path, my feet guide me. After twenty minutes I figure myself in the middle of darkness, I walked and walked that I didn’t realize how time passed. Due to analyzing this fact I didn’t notice his red head. It’s like I'm not capable of thinking this for my own. My Dad always tells me it, maybe I should accept it. I follow the red head, walking faster than I can, therefore I could be right at his back. Then, he disappeared, like he didn’t even existed. I realize that he took me to a back street, darker than I were. Frightened, I ran until I fell into the right hole to Hell. I deserve this, I have always thought of it. Even when, my Dad told me I couldn’t, I cogitate I can, he was right. I am just a girl. How can

Once a drastic change occurs in an individual’s life, they often find it difficult to relocate or recreate their state and situation before the alteration, thus, repeatedly struggle with what presents them in substitution. I distinctly remember having lost all feeling in my tongue and walls closing in around me. I remember sitting on my bed, feet dangling over the edge. Visions of my brothers, my nephew, and my unborn son flashed in my mind like lights warning me to not come any closer; for if I did, I would meet a similar fate. The light from the television flickered on our faces; mine blank, two shameful, and the last with rage. There is not a single noun, verb, or complex sentence in any language to describe how I felt that night.…

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…

I know you said you weren't trying to hurt me. I know you said you were trying to do this the best way you knew how. But when you stood there with your knife at my throat, and I begged you please, you still pressed it in. You heard me scream and beg, and you still dug deeper, until you couldn't hear me anymore. You could hear the blood gushing to the floor, the universe's way of saying you'd fucked up. But you'd already ripped out my throat, you couldn't go back from that.…
