I first met Uriah several years ago, when he enrolled in my Management course. At first, I noticed that he did not give of the greatest impression with his appearance, but after seeing his work, it was evident that he had a brilliant mind. He took lots of courses in liberal arts and applied those to business. I recall reading a term paper he wrote relating different management styles to modern theories of psychology, honestly, the best undergraduate paper I have ever received! He displayed a strong command of language and the paper was very well written, I can even remember learning a lot from it myself. Riddle also showed strong mathematical skills and handled the statistics aspect of the course with ease. He once told me that my course was boring, which I attribute to his intelligence and ability to absorb information so quickly. This also displays his honesty and straightforwardness, which I believe is a good quality for a manager to possess, as it instills trust from subordinates and other employees.
During Uriah’s time in my course, I also got the impression that he was a little standoffish and thought he had no chance of making it in the business world because he had no talent for getting along with others. Despite this perception, he is a brilliant thinker and I believe that he is also a social late bloomer and has outgrown this introverted behavior.
In closing, Uriah is a talented, knowledgeable, self-sufficient person who would make an excellent addition to your management team! If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.
