I was thinking to myself “I’ve never written that many words before. Do I even know 1800 words?” Obviously, I was stressed to the max and we were only on day one of the assignment. When were planning out ideas of what we were going to research, everybody was naming off topics that you hear every year whether it was body image and how barbie dolls cause girls to alter their lifestyle in hopes of achieving what is “beauty” or the affect of divorce on children in families. I tried to think outside of the box to try and help break up the monotony. At first, I wanted to research the effect that contact in professional football has on the players minds and the likely hood that they would commit some sort of sexual assault to their partner but I felt like I wouldn’t be able to find as many facts as I would my own opinion which is not a valid source of information. At first, I used the university’s library catalog to try and look for journal entries with writing about Donald Trump. I found some but to me it consisted of a lot of reading. To me that was a big negative cause the information that I was wanting to find out should just be every day knowledge and shouldn’t require reading pages of documents. My solution to this was to search google for reasons why people would actually vote for Trump. I would find articles that are biased in both directions just because of how he divides people with his outlandish comments. The research was not hard because he has so many people talking about him daily that it is almost too much information to go through. Having a topic like him made it easy to research but the part that held me back was the willingness to work to reach that goal of 1800 words. I have a problem with pushing assignments closer to the due date in hopes that the closer I get, the more of an urge I feel to get work done. Does progress at all? Of course not, I wait till the days before to work endlessly and to also cry a little in
