Reflection of Process Analysis by Corinne Crane
Corinne Crane claims in her process analysis that, everyone has his/her own habit in writing, regardless of good habit or bad habit, so long as it can help you grow and expand your knowledge about writing, then it is a good and suitable habit for you.
There has a specific claim about Crane’s writing process in the first paragraph: she likes to change her writing environments all the time depending on her mood; she need to do a lot of planning before she start her assignment; she gets used to complete her assignment under pressure before deadline. Then, she talks about these habits in details to support her claims about her write in the following paragraphs. As the growth of Crane’s writing, her habits are changing, but there still have some habits that are rooted in her writing. As it is written in the last paragraph, if the way she writes works and helps her succeed, then it is “perfectly fine in her eye”. And she believes that her habits will constantly change to expend her writing skills as well. In addition, Crane also references Peter Elbow’s idea of growing versus cooking in his book. These are where Crane did well in her process analysis. However, there also have some deficiencies like spelling and grammar mistakes.
Therefore, it is necessary to proofread your writing. Proof-reading is the only alternative to allow yourself to find your mistakes and aspects of needing improvements. For the improvements of my writing, I will change my habits and make my writing more perfect.
