Last year, my organization decided to visit a local homeless shelter and to help them serving a special lunch for the families/individuals who are having difficulties. We used our organization funds to prepare socks and scarfs as gifts for those who are in need. It was a memorable experience and I have learned a great lesson through such an activity.

However, at that time, I was trying to stand in him perspective: Maybe this man had a rough day and was mistreated and disappointed. As a volunteer, my duty is to try my best to help and support others. Therefore, I smiled at him and prepared the coffee with cream and sugar. At the end, I don't know if the homeless man are able to feel better, however, most of the people we served were showing gratitudes and enjoying their meals.
In general, I strongly believe this experience is able to taught me a great attitude while serving others. By serving others with a positive attitude and an open mind, we are not only able to make others feel happier, but also make ourselves better
