I recognised how important it is to understand the barriers that might hold back communication between Nurses and their patients. It is necessary for nurses to be able to balance dynamics of the procedure of involvement of children and their parents in the process of safeguarding and risk management (Robbins et al., 2011). To conclude Robert’s case, I have gained knowledge that depression establishes itself likewise in adults and children (WHO, 1992). I may be required to work with children in my Nursing career, therefore it is important statement to remember for my ability to manage risks and safeguarding in the future practice. (Fahrenwald, Bassett, Tschetter, Carson, White, & Winterboer, 2005).
