My plan:
Introduction:
I aim to discuss what methods of learning I have felt particularly successful during my first year and which areas need to be looked and improved in preparation for the next year. I will also analyse and critically assess the development of my academic skills and experience. I will also evaluate my how will I manage my time and devise ways in which to use it more effectively and efficiently.
Each person has different perspectives toward learning outcome. My reasons for studying may be completely different from my peers. I learn to get a wider knowledge about my subject and also to get a high grade. My desired learning outcomes are to achieve at least 2.1 and get a good job and I believe that I can do that. It is always good to think positively rather negatively about the desired outcomes because this latter is less effective in providing motivation. As stated by O’Connor and McDermott (1996): “Having a negative outcome is like going shopping with a list of what you are not going to buy”.
I know that there are a lot of skills that we need to acquire and improve at university but since we have word-limit for this essay so I cannot cover everything. I am going, therefore, to write about time management and how to pursue independent study effectively. I am also writing about the importance of effective research and data collection. And finally demonstrate the ability of identifying my strengths and weaknesses. I selected all these learning objectives because they are vital to succeed at university. Moreover, these are the main learning objectives of this module, which is “Personal Skills” so they are surely important.
In this reflective essay, I will first of all talk about my own learning style
What are the outcomes that you want to achieve at university?
