For my narrative essay, I showed in my anecdotes how my name plays a big role in my life and how it pertains to the Alexie/Hudson controversy. Additionally, I explained and gave enough background information regarding the controversy so readers can understand the logic and reactions of the people involved. “Dead Man” and “Snow, Glass, Apples” are stories that show that ignorance is bliss. I fully developed and elaborated my thesis, which are carefully organized in the body of the essay. I used correct citations and quotations throughout my text and used evidence in the text to support my thesis.
Writing class has been a thrill for me. I learned so many ways to write better and I can use those skills to polish my works in the future. When I am writing a report, I can use my knowledge of using commas and appositives to articulate my thoughts properly. I want to use what I learned about grammar to write flawless papers. Researching on climate change also helped me learn more about how our environment is right now and what we can do as a whole to mitigate the changes. Writing is a very important technical skill that can be improved by writing essays and writing these essays helped me obtain my goal.
