I am the mother of two handsome young college men. Joseph is my oldest and he is at Ashland University and pursuing his Masters In biblical theology He plans on continuing towards a PhD. Bobbie is my youngest son and studies at ITT tech. He is pursuing a Bachelors degree in computer electronics. I am manager at an optometrist office. I have decided to return to college to finish the degree I started fresh out of high school in 1983. Things seemed a little easier back then. Maybe there was less information in my brain when I was younger which made it was easier to retain what I was learning. But I will be diligent in achieving my goals.

I was single for Eight years taking care of my small children. Helping them focus on and prepare for the future. Our lives were pretty good even though at times it was difficult, for example it was easy to keep a routine taking them to school and making it to work on time, unless someone got sick. I really enjoyed the energy they brought to my life and gave me daily strength and purpose to manage the struggles.

Many said my first marriage would not last more than two years. They were halfway right, it ended after fourteen. People told us we were too young to marry. I had just turned twenty and was ready to start my new life. We worked very hard to I waited five years before having my first son, Four years later I had my second son. Things were great until we grew apart.

In March 17 St. Patty's day and 1965 I was born. In the city of Brooklyn New York. The city that is known to never sleeps. I was the youngest of four I had three older brothers. Growing up in New York City was a lot of fun. There's a reason why it's called the city that never sleeps. City lights were on restaurants were open and never ending traffic, and people everywhere. You could smell that amazing pizza and bakery anytime of the day. Childhood was a lot of fun, I met a lot of amazing friends which are still in my life today.

Dedicating my time away from work with my children ensuring that they excelled in school. Continuously reminding them over the next decade on how important their education was and how much it was needed to succeed in life and society. Although I had become successful in my career path, I still wanted and needed to go to college for more reasons than one. My reasons for attending college was clear, to lead the way for my boys, to further my career path, and to be happy and proud of myself for reaching and fulfilling my dream of going to college. Once my boys were all over the age of 12 years old I finally got my chance to return to school. In this task I will be reflecting upon an incident undertaken on area of my work. The model of reflection I’ve chosen is Gibbs (1988), which involves reflection on the description, feelings, evaluation, conclusion and action plan (Gibbs 1988). The Gibbs (1988) reflective cycle is fairly straightforward and encourages a clear description of the situation, analysis of feelings, evaluation of the experience, analysis to make sense of the experience, conclusion where other options are considered and reflection upon experience to examine what you would do if the situation arose again. The procedure in which I will be reflecting upon is Last offices; I chose this due to how constructive and valuable it was in my personal and professional development as a student practitioner nurse.…

As nervous as I was when I walked into Saint Joseph Catholic School (K-8) for my first day of kindergarten, I never thought I would be able to leave after 6th grade and enter the world of middle school. In a small school of about 400 kids, I was familiar with every face that passed by me in the hallway. I got to know the kids in my grade so well and we all knew each other’s life stories. By the time I was in 6th grade at Saint Joseph, some of my friends were planning on going to Kinard middle school in 7th grade. At this point in my life, I was not completely content with where I was going to school. The realization came to me that it was time to move on. It was time for me to try something new.…

I was born on October 24th during the year of 1988, to my mother Lauren DiBenedetti and my father Raymond Valente in the wonderful state of Massachusetts. My parents ended up being better as friends rather than spouses. They were only married for a few years and got divorced when I was around two years old. Soon after, possibly too soon, Mom remarried a gentleman by the name of Gary Maltz. He ended up having a tremendous impact on me. Dad also got remarried, but unfortunately set a world record for shortest marriage ever; it lasted a whopping two weeks. I lived with my mother and stepfather in a little town in Massachusetts called Bolton. I stayed with them Monday through Friday so I could get an education in a smaller school system. During the weekends I would stay with my father in Natick and play hockey for a variety of different teams depending on my age.…

From the many writing opportunities in this semester, I have realized that I have both strengths and weaknesses in my essay writing. For strengths, I have noticed that my skills in integrating a quote is strong because I can now integrate a quote smoothly into a sentence without an error. An example can be found in my "Synthesis Essay of "Dream House" and "His Life on the Reservation," where I wrote "Therefore, this allows him to practice his traditions, like playing "Scrabble [in his] tribal language" (Alexie, 8). Another strength that I have in the area of essay writing is that I am able to set up the whole essay using the introductory paragraph and at the same, giving the reader a sense of what will happen in the essay. An introductory paragraph…
