Syria has a democratically elected regime headed by Bashar al Assad. What optimistic people say is that it is a humanitarian consideration to treat them as same human as us and they also deserve to have a safe and a happy life. However, most importantly, refugees increase consumer markets for domestic commodities, create new markets, and bring new skills. As they need money to settle, it can be assume that they could fill the vacant employment positions and provides cheap labor in manual or seasonal jobs such as farmer, working in industries and polishing the roads. But the situation is overlooked by many and is being misunderstood. In reality, the influx is in such humongous number that the EU is being in a helpless condition to accommodate all of them. They are accepting them because there are a lot positive sides of accommodating them, but there are still negative sides remained. I think it is good to accept refugees. It is a humanitarian consideration and there are lots of benefits following either. However, as there are some concern as many nation feels, I think it will be great if other more countries donate more money to improve facilities in the countries near by Syria, such as Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan.
