At the beggining of the play, Juliet is introduced as a very obedient child, especially towards her mother, as itt is seen when she says “Madam, I am here. What is your will?”. She is calling her mother madam, and she is very polite to her asking her what her will is meaning that she will obey what ever her mother asks her to do. Her parents tell her that she has to marry Paris next day, Juliet is no longer obediant or polite to them and she looses her calm, as she says “I’d rather marry Romeo, who you know I hate”, she is insulting them, as she can not marry Paris, as she is already married to Romeo, and she does not love Paris.
Even the nurse, her best friend tells her to marry Paris, and to listen to her parents. Juliet is feeling really betrayed by everyone, and is very scared and worried, she does not know what to do anymore. She is now putting all her trust into Friar Lawrence. She is about to take a potion that will make her sleep, she is very frightened, and she she starts to imagine everthing that could wrong as she says “Methinks I see my cousins ghost”. She is thinking of all the posibilities that could happen, and how Friar Lawrence’s plan could go wrong, and how she could end up dead, like her cousin.
Juliet goes through a lot of different emotions in this play, which finally ends with her taking her own life because of Romeo being dead as well, and her having nothing and no one left. This leads both families to stop being enemies, as it has only caused problems for
