and knew it was Claudius. Claudius was Hamlet’s uncle and as soon as his father was killed, Claudius married Hamlet's mother, Gertrude.
This upset Hamlet and he wanted revenge and for everyone to know what had taken place.
Even his mother, Gertrude didn’t believe him and was blinded to what had happened. Claudius on the other hand thought he had gotten away with the crime he had committed, but that was soon going to change when Hamlet had a plan to expose him. Hamlet set up a play that re-enacted the whole situation of what took place with claudius and his father, the king. And as soon as the new king Claudius caught on to what was going on, he left the room rapidly. This brought pleasure to Hamlet.
Everyone in the kingdom began to think that Hamlet was crazy because of the way he was acting. Claudius wanted to send him away to be killed so that he could be out of his life for good so that he would never get caught. Hamlet might have gone crazy, but that’s because he had so many people in his life that caused all this hurt and drama that he never asked for. life.
Life isn’t always fair, it has its ups and downs and you can’t control who comes into your life, and/or what happens.
Life can be hard, and when the closest people in your life turn against you it can be difficult to process and to overcome. Mentally and physically it can wear you down and it’s hard to recover sometimes. In my life personally, I have an older brother who is three years older than I am. My whole life growing up he has always treated me like I was worthless and meant nothing to the world. He really knew how to bring me down and it affected my life greatly. I didn’t choose to have this be a part of my life but it happened and it was something that I had to deal with.
Hamlet had two friends named Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, who kind of betrayed Hamlet in a way. The king ordered them to take Hamlet over sea’s to be killed. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern didn’t exactly know what they were doing, but Hamlet knew what was taking place and thought he was being betrayed by his closest friends. Hamlet thought his life was completely falling
apart.
Being the only girl in my family and having three brothers that bully me was tough. I was homeschooled for the majority of my life so I didn’t have very many friends at all. My only friends were my cousins, but because of my brother, he got them to hate me and they discluded me from everything. It felt awful. I could totally relate to Hamlet in his situation in a way. Mentally and emotionally I thought I was crazy because I felt like life was crashing down on me. We both had family members who brought us down and suffered immensely because of it.
Family and friends have a huge impact on our lives, whether it be good or bad, they will always affect us in some way. Hamlet may have had everyone out to get him and it may have seemed like the world was against him, but that’s all part of the life experience here on earth. We all will struggle and have challenges that will be put in our life, but it’s how we choose to deal with it that matters. Hamlet had a lot of heartache in his life and sadly it all ended terribly, but this is something to learn from. You don’t always have to take life into your own hands, because sometimes it makes everything worse. By not trying to seek revenge and giving people what they deserve, life becomes easier when you learn to forgive and forget.
