Abstract

Questo lavoro di ricerca che ho deciso di analizzare descrive in modo ampio e dettagliato le varie relazioni che intercorrono tra imprese e banche, in particolare cerca di dare spiegazioni, tramite analisi empiriche, sul diverso modo in cui piccole e grandi banche erogano credito.
Il paper in oggetto si focalizza principalmente sulla diversa forma organizzativa che i vari istituti bancari assumono in base alla loro dimensione e cerca di cogliere le caratteristiche proprie per ognuna nel dar i prestiti alle imprese.
Secondo le teorie basate sull’incompletezza contrattuale, le organizzazioni più piccole hanno un vantaggio comparativo quando hanno a che fare con le cosiddette “soft information”, inoltre altre variabili (come la distanza, lunghezza del rapporto, tipo di interazione con la clientela, razionamento) saranno analizzate per cogliere al meglio le differenze che intercorrono tra piccole e grandi banche.
Ho deciso di analizzare questo lavoro perché ad una prima lettura mi è subito sembrato idoneo a riassumere i concetti principali visti e trattati nel corso di Economia del Credito Cooperativo, infatti in poche pagine e con semplici regressioni si evidenzia come sia diverso il comportamento tra le piccole e le grandi banche nella fase di erogazione del credito e non solo.
Ho scelto inoltre questo paper perché era incentrato sulla realtà americana e quindi per capire se i concetti visti e analizzati durante il
