Religion Reflection
When I first began this class, I was terrified of the journey ahead. I did not know how I was going to manage working full time, being a full time wife and mom and being a full time student. Entering into the class and seeing all of the work that was due throughout the course also intimidated me because it seemed as if it was too much for me to handle. After meeting my professor and fellow classmates, my fear slowly began to subside. Knowing that my fellow classmates were also afraid let me know that we all could help each other overcome this fear to be successful in this class. I also had to keep in mind that God had not given me the spirit of fear, (2 Timothy 1:7). I feel that I was maturing spiritually, financially and vocationally prior to this class, but looking back has shown me that I have matured even more and much faster than I would have if I had not taken this course. I feel that I am a better person than I was when I first began here at, Colorado Christian University. I have grown in God more and I have overcome my overall fear of walking into the calling God has called me to do. Becoming more mature spiritually began in session two when we discussed our worldviews. According to our text, “a worldview is the framework of our most basic beliefs that shapes our view of and for the world and is the basis of our decisions and action,” (Phillips, Brown, Stonestreet. 2008. Pg. 8). Understanding that a worldview is the way in which a person views reality and makes sense of the world around them and how their assumptions are the basic make up of their worldview, helps me to be able to relate to people better. My worldview influences every choice; how I treat my friends, family and most importantly my character. Now understanding the depths of a person’s worldview and how important it is, I can easily approach an unbeliever and successfully gain a soul for Christ. We as Christians are God’s messengers and walking into my calling has given me many
