One of the characters who has a positive influence on another character in "Remember the Titans" is Julius. Julius is a young Black man, who comes from a poorer family than most of the whites. Julius is one of the leaders of the blacks. In 1971 in West Virginia the Blacks and Whites did not like each other Julius plays a enormous role in bringing them together.
At the start of the film, the Whites are the only people that play football. Virginia has decided to bring the Blacks and the Whites together, so they start up a school for both Blacks and Whites. A new coach for the Titans is hired, the coach's name is Boone. Boone is a Black man. Boone is the one man that can influence many others. This is during the camp at Gettysburg High School. Boone is telling everyone to get to know each other. And until then they would move to three practices a day. This afternoon, after a long training Gerry bumped into Julius and they start talking about themselves, Julius is saying that he is not going to start playing as a team until Ray starts to block. Gerry then says that Julius has the worst attitude he has ever heard. Julius responds saying, "Attitude reflects leadership captain." This is an important part of the film because this has made Gerry really think about how he is leading the team. This coveys the message that we all get so few opportunities for advancement in life, and if we do not take and make the most of them, we are undoubtedly going to live to regret it. You can tell this is an important part of the film because of the way they use a close-up of Gerry and Julius' faces. This was also a signpost for later on in the film where Rays gets kicked off the team for not blocking. In summary, Julius shows Gerry how to be a better leader by showing him what it looks

Nicole Richie had once said, “It's hard to tell who has your back, from who has it long enough just to stab you in it”. She is correct in her suspicion because even foes pretend to be allies, so that they can have an advantage over their opponents, as their pretences are difficult to detect. The theme of betrayal, a theme made evident in the quote, is also present in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The quote by Nicole Richie is correct because foes may appear as allies to gain an advantage, which is shown throughout the scenes of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.…

The Caucasian head coach of the football team (the Titans) is replaced by an African American coach from North Carolina. Tensions arise when players of different races are forced together on the same football team. Many of these tensions however, are somewhat eased during the two-week training camp. When all the players return, they find the city in turmoil due to the forced de-segregation of schools. As the season progresses, the team’s successes causes the community to accept the changes and become much closer than ever. This film is based on a true story, although events in the film are largely exaggerated, some of these examples being the initiating racial tensions within the team as well as the level of opposition that the team faced.…

Logos is the most commonly used rhetorical device by speakers, and Coach Boone is no exception to the rule. The two strongest speeches he gives to his players both exemplify the best way to use logos. In the first speech being analyzed, the coach is speaking to his players about working together and not being divided while on the field of the battle of Gettysburg. He tells them about how brother fought against brother, and the price they paid for what they did, how they destroyed each other. If they don’t shape up and learn how to be a team, they too will be destroyed. Lessons must be learned from history, and mistakes should not be repeated. Coach Boone understands this, and desperately wants his team to understand it as well.…

It’s surprisingly easy to comment on Coach Boone’s leadership in the film Remember the Titans and for a very good reason too. Coach Boone loved his team and led them well. If someone who hasn’t seen the movie doesn’t know who Coach Boone is, he is the head captain of the newly integrated football team. He, through the course of the season, leads his team, the Titans, into a season where they were unbeatable. That fact alone would be amazing, but the fact he did all this while having to deal with the racial tension in the school is almost unbelievable. Coach Boone is an amazing leader and an amazing person in general.…

Gerry was the captain of the Titans and Boone treated him so, he followed Coach Boone's orders to the very end and had overcome his personal racial tension. Coach Boone had successfully become accepted by his players despite his color because of his good work ethic and kind dictatorship. In getting the boys to work together Boone overcome his challenge of being accepted by the team through uniting them and made it clear to the viewer that school integrations and a mixed color community could…

In Julius Caesar, a play written by William Shakespeare, a character by the name of Mark Antony makes a funeral speech after his “friend” Brutus allows him too which would become Brutus’s undoing. While Brutus’s speech focused on using loyalty to Rome and Logos, Antony uses mainly Pathos to gain the crowd’s favor. And extremely effective it turns out to be, Antony manages to have the citizens of Rome revolt and mutiny against the ones they almost cried Caesar against. Antony implements very exact but simple words to convey his message. He uses tone to use his emotion to gather in the people showing his sincerity through his words and actions and uses syntax especially repetition and parallelism to draw the reader in.…
