Remember the Titans is the story about an African American head coach and his multiracial football team. The head coach, Herman Boone is the first black man hired to lead the T.C. Williams High School football team during the 1970's. Boone offers Bill Yoast who was the former Titan coach and the town’s favourite white coach, out of respect to take up the position as an assistant coordinator. Yoast refuses the offer but the white players on the football team retaliate by threatening him that they will quit playing and boycott the team if Yoast decides to leave. In dismay and worried about the boys for not being able to get their scholarships, Yoast agree to working under Boone. The white people of Alexandria are disgusted with a white man working
