What is Leadership and Management?
When defining management there are many different terms for what management is and a definition from the team technology website states that management controls or directs people/resources in a group according to principles or values that have been established. Whereas George R. Terry defines management as a process consisting of planning organising, actuating and controlling , performed to determine and accomplish the objectives by the use of people and resources. According to this definition ‘management is a process – a systematic way of doing things.
However Leadership is setting a new direction or vision for a group that they follow, ie: a leader is the spearhead for that new direction.
