Building relationship with soldiers that you lead is very important to build a solid team. It helps leaders understand and knowing soldiers situations and issues. It also makes soldiers listen to their leaders and follow instructions and do excellent work as team because they like their leaders and they don’t want him to fail.

Selfless service is putting the welfare of subordinates before yours. It is one of a good leader characteristics, a leader should always serves his subordinates without thought of recognition. A selfless service leader gain trust and recognition from his followers because they know that their leader will take care of them without asking and being present by placing their welfares first. To lead is to serve and be ready to give your best to those who follow you, as a result, leader creates a healthy work environment full of energy and also a team players who are willing to sacrifice for each other. A selfless leader should always be out front and never ask his followers to do what he can’t do himself. Selflessness is very challenging for a lot of leaders, it requires competence and sacrifice.
Being a leader in an organization you need assistance and advice from your peers subordinates and superiors, so a good leader always need to create leaders not followers in order to replace him when he can’t lead anymore due to any circumstances.
