REPORT: CONVERSATION LE CORBUSIER WITH THE CLIENT OF RONCHAMP

SKETCH 2 : Citizen, rushing towards the father at the burnt church. Citizens are complaining to the father on the worried situation that they were having.

Client(Bishop): Father, it has become a great problem to the village people. Now the church burnt down, all the village people are worried. They were asking, where should we go after this?
Father : So, I’ve heard. I have discussed with the church members we have come to an agreement that we should replace the church with a new one.
Client(Citizen): Father, are you sure we are going to build a new church?
Father : Yes, we can make the church to be stronger and more functional for the use of the people. I have heard a famous architect that has built many buildings before. Maybe we can seek for his professional idea in building the new church for us.
SKETCH 3
Assistant : Villa Savoye is a very-very great architecture, I have to admit sir.
Le Corbusier : Oh yeah..tq..i want to do more than that
Assistant : Owhh.. i would like to know what is your ideology in your design sir..?
Le Corbusier :Well..actually I want to create a design which can be iconic..maybe sculptural..so that it will be remembered forever.
Assistant : owh..i see.. ok sir.. So your idea is to bring design into more dramatic and powerful. How do you make this acceptable?
Le Corbusier : Hm… We have come to an age which love to see things in a peculiar way. We might have the same typology but I think exploration of new form is a must today. I should be the one who bring this idea!
(coffee time….)
Assistant : ok sir..back to our conversation.. so..,what are you trying to achieve in a way to potray the modernism?
Le Corbusier : owh..i have been waiting for ages for this question…haha.. well..i try to bring out something new that can bring new breath modern architecture...such as…a meaningful façade,
