the span of events that took place at the Luna and Westminster Casinos. Both established called police after the alarm systems in both of their casino vaults were automatically triggered. Detectives uncovered hundreds of shell casings, several dead employees and no witnesses. A Las Vegas policeman was injured from an improvised booby trap at the Westminster Casino. With the case yielding few leads, witnesses or additional evidence, the Twin Casinos Incident remains a bizarre mystery for patrons and employees. The suspects are said to have disappeared out of thin air; no evidence has been provided to suggest how any of them were able to flee the casinos. Regardless, a psyche profile has been drawn for the perpetrators who burglarized the casino vaults at the Westminster: professional, above average intelligence, cunning and deceptive, extremely accurate and dangerous. RFCE’s Burt Winters was able to catch an interview with an employee at the Luna Casino. Burt!” [Voice of Burt Winters]: That’s right, Beatrice, I actually did in fact have an interview with an employee at the Luna Hotel and Casino. After having proven to be a first-hand witness of a suspicious individual to police, the employee had this to say…”
[Voice of Jamie O’Donovan, former employee]: “Yeah, there was this strange guy who claimed to be employee at the casino. He was very nice, had a friendly aura about him, which makes me wonder if he was simply putting up the act to hide the fact that he and a bunch of other people were planning to partake in a casino heist. Strangely enough, he smelled like a wet dog that recently bathed, but nevertheless it was hard to tell what his motives were.”
[Winters]: “Had you at one point ever learned his name?”
[O’Donovan]: “Well, now that you mentioned it, I didn’t need to inquire his name, because I knew who he was. The guys upstairs told me that we were going to have a new employee named Alvin McKnight, so I thought that he–whoever his real identity was–had nothing to hide.”
[Winters]: “Did the police even tried to look into this Alvin McKnight person?”
[O’Donovan]:“They did, when the company management said that they wanted to interview me about that person. All I knew was what the company told me, so I honestly cannot be responsible for what happened more than month earlier. Yet both police and company tried to search for the man at the address he provided, but nobody was living there. It is almost as if he vanished. After I told the man where one of our employee locker rooms were, that was definitely the last time I saw him.”
[Winters]: “You no longer work at the Luna Hotel and Casino anymore?”
[O’Donovan]: “I really had no choice, and I couldn’t handle the heat from being placed under suspicion, so I left the job. Nowadays, I just work for a local construction company with a government contract to renovate town hall.”
[Winters]: “Ladies and gentlemen, that was Jamie O’Donovan, a former employee at the Luna Hotel and Casino. Back to you, Betty!”
[Peterson]: “Thus the Lord said: ‘Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur’ (Luke 17:1, NABRE). It, sadly, holds great meaning to those forced to resign from their positions due to the Twin Casinos Incident.
In other news, the Greater American Catholic School System begins its new school year today, but for the students of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, it began with a mystifying tragedy. Earlier this morning, at Archbishop Webster High School, a dead body was discovered somewhere near the grounds of the school. Police identified the body as being the remains of Eric Holt, a student attending the school. Holt’s cause of death remains unknown. Anyway with information are compelled to call police. Unfortunately for us, His Excellency made an emergency move to temporarily close all the Catholic high schools in the Philadelphia Archdiocese to assist police in their investigations. For the students there, the first of school for all the Catholic high schools in the Philadelphia Archdiocese has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 25th. Whatever time you guys are supposed to show up, it will be the same time this coming Thursday. In the meantime, please pray on behalf of everyone involved in that entire debacle.
And now, let’s play some music to get all of those scandalous events out of our heads, shall we? Here’s a happy-go-lucky song from Inge Bauer and her girl band from St. Eustace Catholic High School for Girls. It’s called ‘Homecoming.’”

(Four days later)
In the wake of the end of the summer of 2016 came the 2016-2017 school year for the Ryanites of Greater American Catholic School System. 22nd August marked the beginning of that new school year. Over the course of the next two weeks, all across the entirety of the Children’s Paradise, Catholic school students continued on with their lives as usual, aware that another year of memories and lasting friendships patiently await them. Peacefully spared from most of Brotzmanskrieg or the Plaid Prohibition, compared to the previous one, together with a proven generation of young Catholic educators and innovative methods of teaching, the Children’s Paradise maintained its place as a suitably superior environment to ensure a future for Catholic children. Outside the Greater American Catholic School System, beyond the dimensional and spiritual defenses established by the RGA and its allies, the chaos brought about by both the Plaid Prohibition and Brotzmanskrieg continued unabated. The factions fought small skirmishes and large battles to take control the opposition, or to else retake or defend their holdings continued unabated in not just the school systems in the United States and Canada, but also in the Dweller world. But after having learned several valuable lessons from the last school year, the RGA and its allies refused to offer even a square inch of empty hallway space to their foes. Much was already at stake, thanks to the Second Great Leaps Westward, and the Children’s Paradise simply could not afford to have another Schuljahr der Dampfwalze. August 25th was the first day of 2016-2017 school year for all Catholic school students within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This in turn also included the Silent Orphan, the Dewy-Eyed Princess, Siegfried and Brenda, Germania and Inge, as well as all personnel at Plaidstadt. Hence was the reason Allison, the housewife of the Brotzman residence at Lansdale, Pennsylvania, made doubly sure that not only her foster son was awake, but also Siegfried and her husband’s cousin. Everyone in the household, in Harold and Tanja, were awakened and fed a decent breakfast by Allison. Once everyone was properly dressed in their appropriate outfits and uniforms, all the residents at this house ate their fill before leaving to their respective duties. In essence, only Tanja remained at the house, acting as a canine sentry, something that was considered one of her best strongpoints. Transportation to Archbishop Webster for Siegfried and Brenda was a different manner. Whereas Allison was the one who brought Virgil both to and from St. Gertrude the Great, the Ryanischwalküren-Gesellschaft took care of that issue, while the Brotzmans handled the costs associated with their schooling. It was sort of the reason why, when Allison, Virgil, Siegfried and Brenda left the kitchen, they were not surprised to see Brünnhilde wearing the uniform of Joseph Callahan and a parked motorcycle waiting outside. Not just any, but a standard issue Ryanischwalküren-Gesellschaft motorcycle, a speedy three wheel vehicle complete with a matte black paintjob and three M1935 coal scuttle helmets bearing colored decals of the coat of arms of the Philadelphia Archdiocese and Republic on the right and left sides respectively. And so, at around 6:30AM, while Allison took her foster son to school, Brünnhilde had the responsibility of dropping off the Nebraskan couple to Archbishop Webster, in addition to attending Joseph Callahan on time. During the trip to Archbishop Webster, which went at the speed of something slower than a rapid Blitzkrieg, Siegfried thought it would be a good idea to have a conversation with Brünnhilde and Brenda. He sat in the sidecar as he spoke to the two. “Any idea as to why they chose to have the school year begin today, and not, say, this past Monday?” asked Siegfried, referring to the Archdiocese’s decision. “I am glad you brought that up, Siegfried,” Brünnhilde told him, her hair flowed freely after tying it into two long braids, “Because the answer might actually shock you.” Soon as the motorcycle stopped in front of a red light, Siegfried said, “I’m all ears.” Brünnhilde sighed to herself whilst waiting for the red light to turn green.
“Look, the reason why the Archdiocese moved the date four dates ahead was because of a dead student, whose body was ‘mysteriously’ found at the grounds of Archbishop Webster,” she explained. “The body belonged to an Archbishop Webster student by the name of Eric Holt, otherwise notoriously known by many in the Dweller world as the ‘Butcher of Forgotten Hamlet.’” The stoplight up ahead suddenly turned green, and she controlled to drive as usual. “Why was he killed?” wondered Brenda. She replied, recalling the details, “Holt was a mass-murderer, a drug smuggler and an enforcer for the Ludwig Crime Family, one of the four families in the Dweller Mob. He and his men probably killed as many as two hundred Dwellers, most the deaths occurred in or around a Dweller city called ‘Forgotten Hamlet’, hence the name.” “Does the Archbishop, his family or anyone in the Children’s Paradise aware of his activities since the past several months?” Brenda
asked. “No, not at all,” was Brünnhilde’s response. “You know we don’t disclose the existence of the Dweller world to anyone, not even to Our Friends with the Golden Rosaries. Besides, much of the drugs he and his men were planning to smuggle out of the Dweller world were disposed of months ago. The body of Holt, on the other hand, was positively identified, so His Excellency’s planning to have a requiem mass at Archbishop Webster.” “For just one student?” muttered Siegfried. “No Catholic educator, be they clergy, religious or laity, would want to learn that an active student like Holt had died under mysterious circumstances,” Brünnhilde said, providing a justifiable reason for the sudden requiem mass. She spoke about the Church Militant in the Philadelphia Archdiocese as she drove through roadways that started to become busy. “Besides, most Catholics in this Archdiocese had no idea as to who Eric Holt was. The same holds true for those Ryanites, who also live within this Archdiocese, praying for his behalf.” “Sorry, I don’t think I’m following along,” Brenda admitted to her. “Brenda,” Brünnhilde told her, “The point I tried to make was how many people, regardless if they call themselves Catholic or not, view life through the prism of human perception. ‘Like whitewashed tombs’, what the Archdiocese can only perceive is the outward projection Eric Holt created, a persona, not the Butcher of Forgotten Hamlet that lie beyond the veneers. Sometimes, all it took was a veil of deep secrecy and a need-to-know basis to foster ‘ever kind of filth’ (Matthew 23:27, NABRE).” This waxing philosophical talk, which posited an important lesson that rest of DHvKA and Dritte Zug were aware of was totally boring to Brenda and Siegfried. Thus, they felt that it would be better to stop talking about why Eric Holt’s body suddenly appeared somewhere in his Catholic high school. By 7AM, they arrived at the parking lot of Archbishop Webster, well ahead of the rest of the school’s student body. Dropping the two off at the front entrance, Siegfried and Brenda took their knapsacks, which were inside the sidecar at the time, and went inside the building. The Dark Ryanite Valkyrie, ashamed of the foolish ignorance displayed by the two, left for Joseph Callahan shortly thereafter.
Meanwhile, inside the spacious, three story tall school building that is Archbishop Webster, Brenda and Siegfried were greeted by the Catholic high school’s Civil Guard leader, sixteen year old Norton Murray. He saw the two as they entered a hallway adjacent from the main entrance, looking for their lockers. Since Murray had been given the Civil Guard’s most special duty, Integration Helper, he was amazed by how early the two came. As he approached them, he briefly examined their uniforms to see if they were up to par with school regulations. Interestingly, the school uniform pattern for both male and female students alike was similar to that of Archbishop Robertson in northeast Philadelphia, with a couple obvious differences. Aside from an Archbishop Webster insignia on the left breast of a sweater or fleece, students there had the option of wearing a school golf shirt in black or white. But because a requiem mass was scheduled to happen, everyone was expected to be in their dress uniform attire, which also doubled as their winter attire.
A strict, no-nonsense Brotzmanskrieg veteran and lieutenant of the RGA’s 16th Ryanisches Panzerkorps, he was best known among the Church Militant in the Philadelphia Archdiocese as being a young Traditional Roman Catholic with aspirations of becoming a Dominican priest. He and his superior, eighteen year old Avery Hopkinson, the commander of 16th Ryanisches Panzerkorps, were known amongst the RGA and Adelbu ranks as one of the top Pzt. Aces in the entirety of Brotzmanskrieg. Like their aerial equivalents in Marchetti’s Plaid Squadron, the two boys shared the reputation with the leaders of other similar formations as being the most skillful in the operation of MAFVs. Their favored reception allowed Murray and Hopkinson to access to some of the more powerful MAFVs in the Ryanite arsenal. Masters of long ranged attacks using Tiger, Königstiger, Panzer III Model M, Hetzer and Marder III MAFVs, 16th Ryanisches Panzerkorps developed the preference for non-energy based weaponry, specifically cannons that fired armored piercing kinetic shells with Tungsten tipped cores. Like Marchetti’s formation, their experiences spearheaded further development of the RGA’s MAFVs.
