Crakes devoid of emotion and manipulates himself into believing that he’s gonna help people, but he can’t predict how people will respond.
His belief on how he wants things to be shows a very arrogant self. He tries to play the role of god. In a more positive light Crakes point of view is very pessimistic to the problem and his sensible approach to the problem is to get rid of the pests (destructive society). In a biocentrist point of view the world cannot be made up solely by humans. Dobson quotes,“ Genetic engineering turns out to be a problematic form of meddling in what is at the heart of what is morally considerable in organisms” (Dobson page 469) The genetically altered species suffer complications that researchers have yet to understand in their scientific endeavors. Therefore, creations cannot be made or controlled by human replacements, they are simply created from god. There are both positive and negative accounts for what Crake did however neither are ethically moral or
humane.
