Two days ago during midnight it was said that Parris’s daughter Betty, couldn’t move herself and that doctors can’t help her. Rumors were spread out at the town of Salem, Massachusetts. It was said that Abigail was dancing naked with Betty and others in the forest at night. Parris accused Abigail by saying “My daughter and my niece I discovered dancing like heathen in the forest” (p9.i.II).
