By: Ryan Ward In the 1940´s the U.S.A. put Japanese American citizens and aliens into camps. Its started when the war began and Japan attacked pearl harbor. ¨State representatives put pressure on President Roosevelt to take action against those of Japanese descent living in the US.¨ (http://www.historyonthenet.com) When there's pressure on you it's hard to ignore it. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066. Yeah some people believed that it was right to be afraid and other believed that it was racist and to prove to everybody they're not racist they should do it to Germans and Italians. When there's believes it goes multiple ways. From our true god to what hamburger is better. We believe in thing other dont for example
why Japanese were sent to camps. After pearl harbor most people were afraid of Japanese people and when Roosevelt opened the camps some people got relief from the worry. ¨This was especially strong along the Pacific coast of the U.S., where residents feared more Japanese attacks on their cities, homes, and businesses. ¨(http://www.lib.utah.edu) They were scared and they had a right to be scared. Here was another example of a believe. The U.S. was being racist. People were asking where
The U.S was being racist or being protective. People believed that the U.S. had to do the same to germans and italians. If they did not people said racist. While I believe it was to make americans feel safe the government should have done it to all of the axis powered races. So it was a little racist. The some japanese people felt that it was fair to put them in those camps. That their country was a enemy and they thought the U.S. feared spies. The U.S. said they were treated fairly so they hoped that the axis powers would do the same. They said that we treated the japanese fairly please treat our guys fairly. Some of the camps were let out early and some late. The last camp closed 1946. People have believed in god and in themselves. In which ways right which ways wrong. They believe in the superior race. They believed we were right in our actions. They believed we were racist. We can believe in what we want to so, what's your belief.
