The great danger of sin is that it can grow. Sin can grow to a point in a person’s life where it can take full possession of that person. At this point, the person is fully demon possessed. Hence, sin has been fully grown.
When a person becomes fully demon possessed, Satan is in full control of that person. Before sin is fully grown, there are stages of growth. Demonic activity in a person can grow from demon oppression to demon possession. There are also stages of demon possession. In other words, a person can be fully demon possessed or partially demon possessed.

Satan first planted thoughts in the mind of Judas to betray Jesus. Spiritual warfare always begins in the thought life. Instead of taking authority over these thoughts, Judas entertained these thoughts. Hence, Satan built "the stronghold of greed" in Judas.
Now after the piece of bread, SATAN ENTERED HIM. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

Jesus gave him many opportunities to repent. Yet, Judas never let go of these thoughts. Finally, Satan entered Judas through the "stronghold of greed". At this point, Judas became fully demon possessed! Now Satan has full control over Judas. When Satan has total control over a person, that person is referred to as being “fully demon possessed”. When Judas became demon possessed, there was another person (Satan) living inside Judas.
A demon possessed person has another person (devil) living inside the human spirit.
