Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects movement. It’s start in your brain practically in the substantia nigra. This area of the brain is very important in terms of controlling your movement. The History of this disease which is relatively young disorder, started in 1817 when James Parkinson published a description called Shaking Palsy. James Parkinson was a family practitioner and he was very socially aware and very politically active. He spent part of his time treating people and anther part of his time was spent handing out leaflets, which the government thought that it’s illegal to do, so he spent some time in jail due to his social views.
