Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?
The most powerful man i.e. Superman.
We then move on to see that Superman is considered to be a God. We see him helping people. A statue has been erected in his honour. He although appears to be distressed with the God status.
Then we hear the dialogue,
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And we see soldiers kneeling down before him, who seem to be some kind of cult following Superman as you can see from the "S" insignia. The debate goes on whether he is good or bad. Luthor inciting people against Superman,
Devils don’t come from hell beneath us, they come from the sky.
And then this: ...with
the chanting of "Go home", he seems to have become a villain in public's eye...along with the emphasis of him being an alien immigrant...
One of the biggest themes of the trailer seems to be how Superman’s presence causes the rest of humanity to go into a bit of an existential crisis.
Then we see Bruce accompanied by the dialogue...
That’s how it starts, the feeling, the powerlessness, that turns good men…cruel.
Now, that is Alfred's voice.. So, we can't say if he says this for his beloved Master Bruce or someone else...
Followed by scenes featuring Batman, some of which obviously refers to The Dark Knight Returns
The rifle was used to fire a grappling line onto a nearby police helicopter.
The similarity between the armoured suit cannot be denied.
The fat logo is also inspired from the graphic novel.
The stylised Batwing over Nolan's striving to be real one.. Snyder seems to be heavily influenced by comics.. :-D I hope either the Batwing is aiming at empty vehicles or somebody else is handling it!
The Riddler reference?
Batman's dialogue...
Tell me, do you bleed?
I apologize, I was wrong about Affleck. He seems good!
As many people have said Affleck's voice as well as his structure are better and more suited to a Batman who can beat Superman.
Then the Superman landing WOWed me!
The narrative finished with
You will...
Hope to see this with a much younger and sexier Batman...
I thoroughly enjoyed it & it has increased my level of enthusiasm for sure! I dunno if it's the fangirl speaking, but the trailer was good. It was way better than what I expected. It is heavily influenced by comics with respect to the look & feel. The Dialogues are good. The darkness is good. Affleck is good (and gloomy).
Superman is not a boy-scout. Batman's still a badass.
