Without the Renaissance the world as we know it would not exist. Before the Renaissance, countries in Europe were suffering from many different problems such as sickness and poverty. Countries also were suffering from problems like lack of employment and education. The quote “these problems sometimes led to numerous deaths of both children and adults due to lack of health care provided.” shows that the world was a very different place than it is now, especially with all of the technology that we have within our grasp. Without the Renaissance the Earth would be a completely different place than it is now. Tools created in the Renaissance for exploration were used primarily during the Renaissance time period. One of the tools that was created during the Renaissance was the astrolabe. An astrolabe is an instrument formerly used to make astronomical measurements, typically of the altitudes of celestial bodies, and in navigation for calculating latitude, before the development of the sextant. Since the Renaissance we have so much more technology. We have cell phones, the internet, and computers. We have explored all of the world since the Renaissance. They only traveled a few miles around their towns on horses or on foot. We travel thousands of miles in a few hours at mind blowing speeds in airplanes. While they only traveled on the ground we travel underground, on the ground, or flying through the sky. People before the Renaissance struggled to grow food and get jobs. Today people eat until they can’t eat anymore. Billions of people have jobs worldwide, not just in one place. The world is so different now than it was before the Renaissance
