First and foremost Bradstreet first comes to say that she could no longer look at the ashes of her belongings but she will continue to “blest his name that gave and took”. Bradstreet again takes the negative focus on her everything being burnt down into a more positive thing that the Lord had provided for her. In that line she is saying that the Lord provides for her, but he can also take it all away, which is what he did in Bradstreet’s case. (Bradstreet 14) Bradstreet then goes on to realize she has lost everything she begins to feel upset and is very worried about her belongings that are now dust. In the beginning of Bradstreet's poem her focus is on her materialistic belongings because they meant the most to her. She comes to the realization that God is doing all of this in his image and she needs to learn to be okay with it and he is preparing her for a life where earthly things don’t matter. For the most part she has come to the realization that her life should not be taken for granted because she has someone providing everything for her and once she got wrapped up in herself and the materialistic things of her life she had it all taken away. Which is why I believe she changes her attitude towards losing everything she has because she had looked to God, who has been there through it all, unlike the materialistic
