Response To John Boo Radley's Diary
One day I woke up, only knowing that I had no idea where I was and that my name was Emily. It was dark and cold where ever I was at. I looked around the best I could, it was so dark I could barely see anything. I could hear somebody creeping around and whispering my name. The voice sounded familiar. I ran into the person creeping. The person grabbed me and said, “ Emily, is that you?” Then I realized it was my best friend, Chris. Chris grabbed my hand and told me to follow him. Of course he would know the way out if this place, he seemed to know everything. Chris led me out and told me we were going to park. I asked what was happening. All he would respond with was, “ Emily, I’m going to be honest. It’s not safe anywhere. Public places are worst but we need wood for …show more content…
Chris told me that my sister was taken away to a camp to train her for war. Now I only have one thing on my mind, finding Roxy. From what Chris said my parents got killed right in front of him. Chris is like my older brother even though he is only one week older than me. Chris acts younger than me sometimes, but not in a serious situation. I asked him where the camp was. Chris said I had to go through the park and a mile outside of town. He wouldn’t let me go, but he made the mistake of telling me the directions. After he fell asleep that night, I left. I ran into the park and soon enough it started down pouring. I found an umbrella next to a dead woman, I took it, but felt terrible for taking it, and her losing her life. I never ran faster in my entire life. After running through the park I found my sister laying down, I sprinted to her. She was dead with bruises all over her body. She must have been beaten to death. I fell from being weak. I turned down another road filled with trees. I didn’t look back, nor would I go back. I left Chris, I was done. I was leaving this place for

During the fire at Miss Maudie’s house, Scout and Jem, unknowingly, was given a blanket to keep warm. When the Finches plus Miss Maudie return to their home, Scout asks who she should thank for the blanket. Jem proceeded to answer that it was most likely Boo Radley’s doing. This starts a confliction between Scout and her beliefs. Scout has always thought of Boo Radley through the mind of a child, a story that stole her attention. But when she witnessed Boo Radley doing something kind and thoughtful, she found herself shocked and unbelieving. “My stomach turned to water and I nearly threw up when Jem held out the blanket and crept toward me.” (Lee 96). At this moment, Scout realized how real and human Boo Radley and altered her view of the man.…

In the letter from Scout to Jem, we see Scout's’ point of view and how she feels. It shows that she is sad that Boo gave them so much and they did not give him anything in return like a good neighbor should have. To convey this, a flowery background symbolizes a neighbor's job to look after one another and the items in the pouch exhibits what Scout and Jem were given I feel that this establishes a feeling of growing maturity because the flowery background also symbolizes the growth of a young girl at the stage of coming of age experiences were a young bud becomes a flower not yet too old to shine like glitter which reveals that pouch holding items is like the pouch of a mother kangaroo because they hold their young in that pouch and Boo cares…

I rate this book a 2 out of 4 because I feel like the author could’ve extended the book in many different ways. One example is that the author didn’t explain and describe the actual two people who killed Mr. and Mrs. Lee, she just stated that they were thrown in jail. The length of this book was also a bit diminutive in my opinion. The idea of the book was wonderful which makes me feel that the climax could’ve been bigger and a bit longer which would’ve made it a better book. Another reason why this book held me back from rating it a 3 was that, the way Mike and Rebecca found Amanda Brown wasn’t as intense compared to other mystery books I have read. For example, when Rebecca found Amanda’s number from Cecilia, she searched Amanda’s address…

Her house was bright pink!! We went inside. She introduced herself and said her name was Emily, I said my name was Rose. Her house was lovely with precious ornaments everywhere. I gasped. Emily smiled. After I had finished gawping at her house she said it was time for dinner. We had lamb, potatoes and carrots, I munched happily. I looked at the dress she was wearing; she was wearing a flowery flowing dress. Before we went to bed Emily showed me a fluffy creature called a sheep. She was lovely. After we finished she showed me my room. I gasped again, my room was completely pink. Pink, bed, duvet, carpet, pillow, sheet, curtains and wardrobe. I crawled into my bed. Emily tucked me in and kissed me goodnight. Also Emily lives on a farm.…

I woke up by the blue jays singing by the tree beside my bedroom window. I got dressed in my blue jeans and my Adidas sweater. As I went downstairs my mom had a big breakfast set out on the round table. I sat down and as I started gobbling down the pancakes my brother joined us. We cleaned off the table and I took my backpack and put on my jacket to go out for school. My brother ‘Matt’ following right behind me. I and he decided to take the shortcut we found during summer break when we went biking, instead of the actual way through the streets. It had already started to snow in September and the shortcut through the pond was slippery, but we scrambled through it. As we made our way near the school, we saw some of the kids we saw when we went biking hanging out by the timeworn school sign. I guess my brother didn’t really want to enter school with me because he scurried off to a friend he met at a band competition during the break. I didn’t really find any friends during the break, except this kid named Jack who was my neighbour, but the problem with him was that he was one of the fattest kid I have seen, and all he would want to do was stay home and watch this TV show about a loser who always got beaten up. I stayed away from him all summer but I guess I shouldn’t have, because now I have to enter the school all by my self not knowing where to go or not knowing anything about the school.…
