Response To The Gettysburg Address
The Gettysburg address was a very important speech. Given by Abraham Lincoln himself on November 19,1863, the speech was honoring the soldiers at the Gettysburg cemetery. The point of the speech was to deliver the nation the news of the war. It also states that the men who died made this land sacred. How did everyone take this speech? Was it a good speech or just a waste of time. Here is my view of it. If I was part of the crowd that listened to the speech on that day, I would feel enlightened by it. The speech shows that we are a nation, living or dead, that has liberty. It also states that the people would not perish from the government. I would probably sign up to join the military to fight for us the people. I would fight for our liberty,
