Responsibility In Mark Twain's The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer

In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die, and the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility. Tom has changed his attitude and seriousness throughout this novel “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”.He's been taught many lessons because of his foolishness towards Aunt Polly. I've had to change how I act in class because, if you miss something important then it will hurt you on the test. Tom has been punished many times for lying to Aunt Polly. Aunt Polly expects the truth from Tom now because of the mile high stack of lies he has told to her. Steadily through the book Tom has been getting into less trouble and he takes responsibility of his actions. Tom didn't like Sunday
school at all, so he had to change that. Every time he went he brought something to play with, so he brought a pinch bug for a dog to fool around with. later on through the book he wants the Bible you can win, so he trades and wins the Bible and he has what he wants. At the beginning of each school year you want to start the year off on a good note. You're trying your hardest to get good grades, giving everything your all. In the middle of the year that starts to die down a little and now you're getting a lot of B’s. Towards the end of the year I lose a lot of focus, just because of the thought of summer. During the start of the year I've tried to be like a sponge, to soak in all of the knowledge I can. Some of the things we did were review from last year so I got it right away. I always thought that math would get harder and harder after each new lesson, but it wasn't quite as hard as I thought. Once it was third quarter I thought that math was super easy and that I didn't need to study. Wrong the second half of the year I really needed to study to get a good grade. I had to keep my grade up and not give up on it. I've made new friends throughout the school year, But I'm still connecting with the old friends. After the first day of school I noticed that I only new like one kid in each class I had. So I knew that I had to start making some new friends. At the beginning of the year I sat at my old friends lunch table. Then I switched to a new friends lunch table in the second quarter. But then I finally switched to a table with old friends and new friends for the rest of the year. Throughout the novel Tom Sawyer, Tom has been changing his personality, his emotions, and changes how he speaks to Aunt Polly. Tom loved Amy Lawrence at the beginning of the story but then slowly started to like Becky Thatcher. At the start of the year I hated science but now it's my favorite class and my best class grade wise.
