There are three questions we must ask when comparing the Hindu and Christian beliefs of the afterlife. The first is “What survives the death of the body?” In Christianity, there are very straightforward concepts about the afterlife as well as contrasting views. To put it simply, many believe that a spiritual body may be resurrected after death. In fact, some Christians continue to believe in literal resurrection of earthly bodies. If one is to be reincarnated, then it is believed that the spiritual body survives and is therefore transmitted to another physical body.
