The resurrections main point is that we will have a future with God a future with God is something we can look forward too. John 14:15 says, “if you love Me, keep My commandments” (NKJV) and “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it” (Matt, 16:25, NKJV). Yet many do not live by these commands nor the two greatest commands. In Ezekiel 36 when God tells Ezekiel he will give his people a new heart, this new heart should bring new actions. The heart and actions should reflect the one who gave them. This means that if we truly believe in the resurrection and the giver of the resurrection as it is said in the Old Testament, we need live like the one who has the power to resurrect us told us to.
The resurrection in the Old Testament should be a life changing idea. It should give us hope that one day we will be with God with the many good things that will come with it, but it should also transform the way Christians live in the here and now. The minds and hearts of Christians should be set on the things above and not the things
