Compare Rig Veda and Genesis--similarities and differences Before the dawn time the world was created through Purusa in the Rig Veda and through God in Genesis. In Genesis it is stated that God created heaven and the earth and ended with the creation of man. Whereas, in the Rig Veda a thousand heads hath Purusa, thousand eyes, a thousand feet; on every side pervading earth he fills a space ten fingers wide and ended with a sacrifice. Although, as both religious aspects begin and end differently they both share a specific meaning to their religious participants.
