Rihanna’s Billboard hit, Needed Me, has reached itself in the tenth spot this week. Needed me has been been a summer anthem for girls worldwide, that radiates feministic views. In the first line of the song Rihanna states that she doesn't need anyone to be herself. It is a powerful way to draw a listener in and make them feel the same. When female artist talk about men in their songs, the lyrics usually are about being in love. Rihanna took a different approach with this one. Through the lyrics she is saying that she once was affected by men but not anymore. Proudly stating that she doesn’t care about a fairytale and even that she is okay with being a savage too.
