Miranda Lambert: Song Analysis
Miranda Lambert is using the power of music to express her feelings about her recent split from Blake Shelton.

At the 2015 ACM Honors on Tuesday, Lambert was all dressed in pink while singing Loretta Lynn's 1972 divorce song "Rated X."

The song contains lyrics, "Well if you've been a married woman / and things didn't seem to work out / Divorce is the key to bein' loose and free / So you're gonna be talked about."

"She sang songs that were not necessarily appropriate to sing at times, like this for me," Lambert told the audience, according to E!, "So, I'm so thankful for women empowerment."

After Lambert performed on stage, she posted on her Instagram a video of her along with friends covering Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' for a "glam jam."

Katrina Van Tassel’s playlist would have songs about how she's really fancy, how she's spoiled, and how she is beautiful. The first song that would be on her playlist would be “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea. The author says in the book, “ She was a blooming lass of eighteen peaches…” (33). She would have this song on her playlist because it says,” I'm so fancy, you already know”. Another song she would have on her playlist would be “barbie Girl” by Katy Perry because of how spoiled she is . Author Washington Irving says in the book, “...have been playing off any of her…” (80). She would have this song on her playlist because Katy Perry sings, ” you can brush my hair…”. The last song on her playlist would be, “Just the Way You Are”…

put their arms in the air and wave them to the beat, he performed the song with high energy. After throwing the sunglasses he was wearing into the crowd, he sang numerous songs from his new album “All-American” such as “No Faith in Brooklyn” and “Top of the World.” He also performed my personal favorite, “Not a Robot” which he added a twist involving the live band. On top of all of his own songs he sang, he played a couple of other artists’ songs and added his own vibe to them. Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” and The Beastie Boys “Fight For Your Right to Party”…

Katy Perry is a singer and songwriter of pop-rock music. Katy Perry portrays her love for modern pop-rock music and performance by presenting it in such ways like in Wide Awake. Katy Perry performed a live music performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The music video kept many of the same features such as the clouds, the shooting star, and the spaceship. Katy Perry’s story in her performance was similar to The Smashing Pumpkin’s music video because in Tonight, Tonight there are two people on an adventure into space and in The Wide Awake performance Katy Perry and a man are together on an adventure as well. However, Katy Perry seems to be in a dream having an adventure. She kept a similar interest about taking an adventure with a significant other and transitioned it in her own art style, which is more of a modern look. There were many of the same set features such as the spaceship, and the shooting star that The Smashing Pumpkins used, and George Melies originally had. The spaceship appears in the beginning of the performance and then the shooting star is towards the middle of the performance and those clearly have a meaning of when the spaceship and the shooting star are placed in the performance. Katy Perry used her performance to represent an adventure with someone, which was echoed from The Smashing Pumpkins. She was able to transcend her art of music into a live performance…

    Dixie Chicks Analysis

The events that lead to this song really came out in the lyrics of “Not Ready to Make Nice.” This album has the sound effects of a new age sound for the Dixie Chicks. The group tried to concentrate on new fans and a new genre in their music steering away from their well known county, bluegrass type of music. Texas being a huge connection of country music and a very patriotic state was refusing any performances by the Dixie Chicks and so many big country singers were very opinionated about the Dixie Chicks. So the band wanted to display their music to a different type of music the tried to focus to more of a pop kind of music. At the Grammy in 2007 the Dixie Chicks were invited to perform, the girls jumped at the chance to prove to our nation that nothing was going to hold them back from being heard. As the lights brighten in the background and lighting the stage Natalie stands there at her microphone. Natalie calmly starts out with their prideful song, “Forgive sounds good, forget not sure I could, they say time heals everything, But I’m still waiting” the crowd stats roaring and cheering. As she proceeds with the song she closes her eyes and bolts of the words. She holds her microphone so firmly and shakes her head, with each new line she opens her eyes. She looks as though when she opens and closes her eyes she trying not to tear up because this song is so personable and this moment is so prideful. As the line “It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her daughter, that she outta hate a perfect stranger” the instruments get so loud and the mood is full of energy. She explodes with body language. Seeing Natalie perform this you can tell this song means so much to her and her band mates because of their experience of…

She writes almost all of her own songs, and they are full of meaning. For example a hit song of hers, ‘Gunpowder and Lead’, is about women and how they should not take any shit from any one, let alone a man who hits them. I’m even sitting here writing this, listening to her music. I mean not all of her songs have such a deep meaning, but they all are certainly songs you can just sit back, and rock out too. I’m in love with it, and such a huge fan. In my eyes, Miranda is unlike any star. She isn’t a skinny, overrated, prissy little bitch who is only popular for one song, or how pretty they are. Miranda isn’t even that main-stream, but still does what she loves. When she was a teen, she was on a show kind of like American Idol that got her career started. She went to Nashville, and came back to Texas almost immediately because she hated the “pop” sound of music, and wanted to stay original, and straight up country. She’s a country-rock girl, with meat on her bones, a strong head on her shoulders, and doesn’t take shit from anyone, and will speak up if she has too. I mean, I don’t know the woman personally, but she sure comes off as this way, and it rocks! Oh and who wouldn’t be inspired by…

    Country Song Analysis

The world of a country song writer is a different one, requiring him to prove his capability time and again. With millions of aspiring artists that make their appearance on the scene annually, the song writer has to work very hard to stay adrift otherwise he is likely to sink into anonymity before he can even realize it. A song writer has to face stiff competition and this aspect is even more emphatically seen in the case of the genre of country song writing. This is because country lyrics are comparatively simple in their structural form. They do not need the backing of fine accompaniments. Often the country song writer himself sets music for his lyric which may be a few simple chords of a guitar or a piano.…
