He says that learning how to play an instrument is all about experimenting with it- all the different sounds and things that it does. Within the very first week of releasing the album, Hunter’s songs made it all the way up to the top thirty hits lists and the song “Somebody’s Heartbreak” was also the most downloaded song the week of release (“Hunter Hayes”). When word got out and music was circulated throughout, Hunter was chosen as many opening acts for concerts, such as for Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood (“Hunter Hayes”). He was asked to sing live for many shows such as Good Morning America, The Late Show and The Talk, E! News, and the Ellen DeGeneres Show (“Hunter Hayes”). His new album also won him many awards. Because of his strong dedication to music he won CMA’s choice as best New Artist in 2012 (“Hunter Hayes”). He’s also won the Teen Choice Award as the Male Country Artist of the Year and a BMI award for his song “Storm Warning” (“Hunter Hayes”). Two days before his twenty-first birthday, he was introduced as the youngest person ever to be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame (“10
Things”). Throughout his life Hunter has truly believed and still does believe that the talent he has is God-given. (Spera). God is someone that he is strongly in service to and believes should get the glory from Hunter’s talents and achievements (Spera). As he grew up however, Hunter had many influences and inspirations. John Mayer, Michael Buble, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, and the Beatles influence how he wrote his album and influence the writer and singer he is today (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Hunter also says that his parents were a huge help in how he turned out (“Hunter Hayes”). His parents learned about a business in which they had no clue about, and they surrounded him with love and support in whatever he did (“Hunter Hayes”). There was always positivity for Hunter from his parents. (Hunter Hayes”). As of right now, Hunter holds a deal with the Warner Brothers (Dukes). He has big plans in his life and plans to continue with the same held greatness as his last album (Dukes). Hunter says, “I make music because it’s the only way I can breathe. This is how I want to spend the rest of my life.’” (“Hunter Hayes”). With his constant dedication and practice that so far he has shown, much will come out of him.
