Hunter Hayes Accomplishments

The world changed September 9th, 1991, the day that Hunter Hayes was born (“10 Things”). Born in little town Breaux, Louisiana (Dukes), Hunter is an only child to Leo and Lynette Hayes (“10 Things”). Ever since the day Hunter was born, he has been rocking the world with his God-given talents. Hunter Hayes began showing an interest in music at just two years old, after his grandmother gave him an accordion for his birthday (“10 Things”). After that day, he began picking up random things around his house and trying to turn them into an instrument that he could play (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Because neither of his parents were musicians or in the music industry, Hunter picking out music as his passion was a complete shock to them (“Hunter
Hayes Biography”). Throughout Hunter’s whole life, he was encouraged by his parents to pursue music as he wanted (“Hunter Hayes Biography”, “Hunter Hayes”). As he started to get older, he was able to get real instruments that he could play, but he was very impatient learning from others on how to play, so he learned how to play instruments by himself (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). He says that learning how to play an instrument is all about experimenting with it- all the different sounds and things that it does. By the age of six, his ability to learn music was very evident and something had to of worked for him! (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Since the age of two, he has learned how to play over 30 different instruments, such as the piano, guitar, mandolin, bass, drums and many others (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Hunter took a start to his fame by every Friday night going to a Cajun restaurant by his house (“Hunter Hayes Biography”).
At the age of four, he joined his first band and started performing there (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). From there on out he was showed on many television shows and networks such as Maury, Rosie, and Nickelodeon (“10 Things”). Also when he was four, he made an appearance with Hank Williams Jr, in a crowd of over 200,000 people (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). By time he was six, he had sung with Johnny and June Cash and performed for the president! (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Hunter began writing his own songs and soon after that composed his first album at age ten (“Hunter Hayes”). He did a lot of work to get where he is now. During teenage years he was quiet and did not have many friends as he was too busy with songwriting and gigs (“Hunter Hayes”). Everything he did was to further his musical ability. He says he doesn’t have any hobbies besides music (“Hunter Hayes”). Music is his life and the only friend that will never ever let him down (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). During his senior year, his parents realized that the way to get the word out there about his talent was to take him to none other but the music capital, Nashville (“Hunter Hayes”). Different song producers, managers and a record label were interested in the talents that Hunter Hayes brought forward (“Hunter Hayes”). Within the first week of moving to Nashville, he wrote a new song every day
(“Hunter Hayes”). The first album that Hunter Hayes released was a big hit and all the rave (“Hunter Hayes - News”).Hunter co-wrote and sang all the vocals, and played every instrument heard on the album (“Hunter Hayes - News”).
Within the very first week of releasing the album, Hunter’s songs made it all the way up to the top thirty hits lists and the song “Somebody’s Heartbreak” was also the most downloaded song the week of release (“Hunter Hayes”). When word got out and music was circulated throughout, Hunter was chosen as many opening acts for concerts, such as for Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood (“Hunter Hayes”). He was asked to sing live for many shows such as Good Morning America, The Late Show and The Talk, E! News, and the Ellen DeGeneres Show (“Hunter Hayes”). His new album also won him many awards. Because of his strong dedication to music he won CMA’s choice as best New Artist in 2012 (“Hunter Hayes”). He’s also won the Teen Choice Award as the Male Country Artist of the Year and a BMI award for his song “Storm Warning” (“Hunter Hayes”). Two days before his twenty-first birthday, he was introduced as the youngest person ever to be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame (“10
Things”). Throughout his life Hunter has truly believed and still does believe that the talent he has is God-given. (Spera). God is someone that he is strongly in service to and believes should get the glory from Hunter’s talents and achievements (Spera). As he grew up however, Hunter had many influences and inspirations. John Mayer, Michael Buble, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, and the Beatles influence how he wrote his album and influence the writer and singer he is today (“Hunter Hayes Biography”). Hunter also says that his parents were a huge help in how he turned out (“Hunter Hayes”). His parents learned about a business in which they had no clue about, and they surrounded him with love and support in whatever he did (“Hunter Hayes”). There was always positivity for Hunter from his parents. (Hunter Hayes”). As of right now, Hunter holds a deal with the Warner Brothers (Dukes). He has big plans in his life and plans to continue with the same held greatness as his last album (Dukes). Hunter says, “I make music because it’s the only way I can breathe. This is how I want to spend the rest of my life.’” (“Hunter Hayes”). With his constant dedication and practice that so far he has shown, much will come out of him.
